It was amazing to see the fair buzzing with passion and engagement from our exhibitors and visitors. This is exactly how lasting collaborations and new business contacts are made! A big thank you to our visitors, exhibitors, speakers, and partners – we look forward to continuing to support and promote the organic and natural sector for many years to come.”

The fair was a celebration of the latest trends and innovations in organic food, natural beauty, and health – including the new area, The Good Food Fair, for 2024. Visitors were invited to explore 450 different natural, organic, and sustainable exhibitors, and participate in insightful presentations on two stages – The Main Stage and The Beauty Bar.

In addition to a lively exhibition, the events featured two cooking competitions, an event for the public sector, an “Innovation Showcase,” speed-dating with beauty brands, live “Pitch to the Buyer” with MyCare, beauty influencer events, and much more.

Full Panel with Lidl, Coop, ICA, and Axfood

A highlight of the fair was an extensive discussion on innovative strategies, sustainable practices, and the changing consumer trends driving retail forward. Industry giants Lidl, Coop, ICA, and Axfood attracted a full and captivated audience as they shared insights on the future of sustainable food and retail.

Speakers and visitors, such as Mattis Bergquist, Sustainability Manager at Coop Sverige, commented on the fair: “Nordic Organic Food Fair is of great importance in enabling people to meet face-to-face instead of online. When you meet people physically, you can truly experience the products by tasting, touching, and feeling them directly. Moreover, the opportunity to shake hands and express your enthusiasm directly adds a personal touch that is invaluable. That’s why it’s really important to gather at the fair.”

“Nordic Organic Food Fair is a place filled with so much life and energy. There is a strong drive and willingness to increase organic products on the market, and it’s exciting to be part of that movement,” says Anneli Bylund, Sustainability Manager at Lidl Sverige.

Julia Levi, Regulatory Product Compliance Leader at IKEA, captivated the audience with her engaging presentation “Navigating the Intricacies of Plant-Based, Vegetarian, and Vegan Products.” In this presentation, Levi explained the nuanced differences between these categories and their impact on IKEA’s consumer demand. The talk ended with a Q&A and an enriching discussion that encouraged the audience to participate and explore further.

“Being at this fair is a way to promote green innovation. The dialogues, debates, atmosphere, discussions, and panel talks are valuable to participate in, providing insights to take with you and reflect on,” says Julia Levi, Regulatory Product Compliance Leader at IKEA.

MyCare selects all 6 brands for further discussions

At the fair, an exciting live “Pitch to the Buyer” was held with the leading distributor MyCare Nordic. Six brands, including Gentle Day, Happybrush, Kooky, Bagert, Mulieres, and Palse, were selected to present their products to MyCare’s buying team LIVE on stage. The presentations were so convincing that the buying team decided to select all six brands for further discussions about potential listings in their assortment.

Tärje Pennsäter, Sales Manager at MyCare, says: “The fair is a perfect meeting place for us as a distributor. The exhibitors are here for the same reason: to do business and share their knowledge and products with a new customer base. The opportunity for us, with our chains Hälsokraft in Sweden and Kinsarvik in Norway, to participate in this way means a lot. The fair provides insights into the industry and its future trends; we always want to be at the forefront in the Nordic region, and this fair is crucial.

We also want to take this opportunity to extend our sincere thanks to all the suppliers and producers who took the time to present their products to us.”

Innovation Awards

The Innovation Awards 2024 celebrated the best new products at the Natural Beauty & Health Show and Nordic Organic Food Fair. The nominated products were voted for by visitors across various categories – from Best New Vegan Product to Best New Skincare Product.

The products were then evaluated by industry experts, including Charlotte André (Organic Sweden) and Nina Anderson (Vegetarian Society) for the food categories. Health products were evaluated by Jan Wiberg from Life, and the beauty awards were judged by Dr. Mark Smith (NATRUE) and Lillemor Svensson (NOC Sweden).
