The Wines of Crete network represents the contemporary viticultural expression of Crete — a land with over 5,000 years of winemaking history and an unbroken tradition of wine production. The network’s goal is to highlight the strong cultural value and exceptional quality of Cretan wines, to promote the island’s indigenous grape varieties and the unique identity of the Cretan terroir, and to showcase the oenotourism dimension of Crete.
