BEGAS AGRO SA is a rice industry based in Halastra, Thessaloniki, Greece
The company's main activity is the processing and standardization of rice.
The central pillar of BEGAS AGRO SA's business is its export activity, in which it continuously invests, resulting in its growth and development.
The goal is for its products, which are produced in the largest rice-producing region of Greece, Halastra, to surpass the borders of the Greek market and circulate in as many foreign markets as possible.
We process and export approximately 30,000 tons of rice of strictly Greek origin
from a plethora of locally cultivated varieties.

Parboiled rice (long grain)
Special rice type, result of hydrothermal treatment, with bright blond color, rich taste and authentic aroma. During process vitamins and minerals diffuse from the rice husk, giving it a unique advantage: speed and ease of cooking in combination with high nutritional value.Derived from long grain rice varieties, Strictly Greek Origin, cultivated and processed under EU standards.
Parboiled rice (medium grain)
Special rice type, result of hydrothermal treatment, with bright blond color, rich taste and authentic aroma. Brown rice
The brown rice is a result of the removal of the hush from the primary grain of rice. Low in fat and having antioxidant action is a major source of fiber, protein and starchy carbohydrates and it is rich in selenium, magnesium, thiamine, potassium, calcium, and valuable B vitamins such as B1, B3, B5 and B6. Healthy ally for those wishing to lose weight and for diabetics as it helps to balance blood sugar levels.
