About us
Founded by Tassos Karagiozidis and Eleni Charalambaki, Kappa Winery is a modern, boutique winery nestled among the vineyards of Naoussa, on the slopes of Mount Vermion. With organic cultivation and minimal intervention practices, the winery produces around 80,000 bottles annually from both indigenous and international varieties such as Xinomavro, Assyrtiko, Malagouzia and Syrah. Guided by the philosophy of natural winemaking—without added yeast or filtration—our wines express the pure character of their terroir. Visitors can enjoy tastings, guided tours, and cultural events throughout the year in our fully equipped facilities, including a cellar, pavilion, and courtyard. Kappa Winery also operates a traditional distillery, creating fine spirits that reflect the region’s rich heritage.

KOKKYMELO, 100% XINOMAVRO, SINGEL-VINEYARD
The flagship red wine of the winery is produced from the Xinomavro grape variety. These grapes come from a single vineyard in the Fytia area, at the foot of Mount Vermio. The vineyard is cultivated using gentle farming practices and yields low per-acre yields. During vinification, we strive to tame the intense tannins of Xinomavro while protecting and highlighting its unique aromatic richness. The wine matures in 500-liter oak barrels for 12 months and ages for another 8-12 months in the bottle, under ideal temperature and humidity conditions in our cellar. Aromas: Red and black fruits (cherry, plum, black berry), clove. Varietal Composition: 100% Xinomavro. Classification: P.G.I. Imathia. Serving Temperature: 18°C - 20°C. Bottle Size: 750ml, 1500ml. ANAMNON, 100% XINOMAVRO ROSE
The fermentation of this distinctive rosé wine takes place in oak barrels. After the thick lees are removed, the wine is returned to the barrels barrique to mature on the fine lees. Aged with bâtonnage in the barrel for 6 months. An additional 3-4 months of aging in the bottle. The result is a dynamic rosé, in which the wood is not particularly intense due to its elegant integration. A full-bodied wine made from Xinomavro grapes. This is not a typical rosé. NESPILON 100% MALAGOUZIA
A tastefull journey foul of notes of white peach, cotrus and nightshade, combined with a harmonic sense of light vanila and almond. The freshness of Malagouzia, the gentle acidity and the long, silky aftertaste makes this wine the ideal companion for every moment. Aromas: Peach, loquat, white flowers. ASSYRTIKO X-LOCO
An Asyrtiko «Ex Loco» This is a label with limited annual production in numbered bottles. It is produced from the Asyrtiko variety, which ferments and matures for six months in 500-liter oak barrels. During maturation, the wine is in contact with its fine lees and is periodically stirred. After bottling, the wine remains in the cellar for six months. The final wine is characterized by minerality and tertiary aromas of maturation. Its acidity is in perfect harmony with its volume and oiliness. It is a white wine with an aging potential of 5 years. MERLOT
A powerful and well-structured Merlot from low yields per hectare. Particularly successful integration of “fruit”, body and velvety tannins. A beautifully soft and elegant wine with a round palate. Matured for 12 months in barrels from three different regions of origin. An additional 8 months of aging in the bottle. SAUVIGNON BLANC
An “almost” typical Sauvignon Blanc. Care was taken in the winemaking process to ensure that the aromas do not overshadow the body and density of the wine. Good ageing potential. After bottling, the wine was left to mature in our wine cellar for several months. RYTHMOS 2/4, XINOMAVRO ROSE
Rythmos 2/4 Rosé is an example of the fine aromatic expression of Xinomavro. After a controlled phase of cold maceration, the must is vinified at low temperature to protect the aromatic compounds produced. This is our fresh rosé wine with pronounced aromas of strawberry/strawberry jam and crisp acidity. ISMINI, late harvest sweet wine
A dessert wine produced from grapes left to dry on the vine (late harvest) from a single vineyard, Merlot. The wine is aged for 18 months in oak barrels and has excellent aging potential. This wine is only produced when weather conditions contribute to a late harvest. Unique with excellent structure. Small number of bottles. LIAISON du village 2021
Liaison du Village is a blend of 50% Cabernet sauvignon and 50% Syrah. Each cultivar is harvested and vinified separatelly. After the completion of the alcoholic fermentation the wine goes through a period of 2 weeks of post-fermentation maceration. The wine is aged for 6-8 monts in oak barrels and for 6 months in bottles before being released to the market. Aromas: Red and black fruits (cherries, blueberry), vanilla, spices, chocolate. eLXis 2022, 98% Assyrtiko
Assyrtiko and Sauvignon blanc are spontaneously fermented in 500Lt clay amphoras giving birth to eLXis. A wine that ages for 60 days in contact with the grape skins and then is bottled without any treatment. LX=60 days. Aromas: Minerality, nuts, dried fruits. RYTHMOS 9/8, XINOMAVRO BLEND
Rythmos 9/8 white is a cuveé made from 70 % Roditis and 30 % Xinomavro (blanc de noir) Each variety is harvested and vinified separately to achieve optimum typicity. The final blend is defined by the unmistakable aromatic profile of Roditis from the high altitudes and the crisp acidity of Xinomavro. RYTHMOS 7/8, XINOMAVRO BLEND
A cuveé made from 80 % Merlot, 10 % Syrah and 10 % Xinomavro. This is a fresh wine with a pleasant aromatic complexity that can be enjoyed immediately after bottling.
