About us
A historic Estate, protected by two rivers and looked after by an ancient woodland, site of community importance for the preservation of biodiversity and part of the EU network Natura 2000. Historic vine heritage of 18 hectares, painstakingly restored respecting nature and favouring native varieties. Organic certification since 1993, low yields in the vineyards and independence of the entire production chain: every bunch of grapes and every bottle come from our Estate. Production of 30,000 bottles per year, exclusively from the best grapes of selected land parcels.

85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon Vintage 2017 Vineyard planting year: Merlot 1960, Cabernet Sauvignon 2003 Soil: clay (43-48%) and limestone in the deeper layer (calcium carbonate), alkaline of alluvial origin Training system: Sylvoz Vinification: 10 days of maceration, controlled fermentation at 28° C and soft pressing Aging: 12 months in concrete tanks and 18 months in 45 hL barrels (medium toasted French oak) and at least 3 months in bottle before sale Appearance: ruby red with light garnet reflections Nose: intense, with clear hints of blackberry and dried plum, which blends in a large bouquet with flavours of vanilla and cinnamon Taste: savoury and persistent, it wraps the palate thanks to the softness of the tannic component which enhances the flavours of red fruits and the elegant toasting in the finish

100% Chardonnay Vintage 2020 Vineyard planting year: 2015 Soil: clay (44%) and limestone in the deeper layer (calcium carbonate), alkaline of alluvial origin Training system: Sylvoz Vinification: 24 hours of cryo-maceration, soft pressing and fermentation in barriques (medium toasted French oak) Aging: 18 months in barriques (medium toasted French oak) and at least 3 months in bottle before sale Appearance: bright and intense straw yellow nose Intense and complex aromas, together with the typical marker of apple, of tropical fruit, vanilla, white pepper and sweet spices Taste: full, mineral, savoury and persistent, spicy with a strong note of vanilla

100% Refosco Dal Peduncolo Rosso Vineyard planting: year 1992 Soil: Clay (53%) and limestone in the deeper layer (calcium carbonate), alkaline of alluvial origin Training system: Sylvoz Vinification: 10 days of maceration, controlled fermentation at 28° C and soft pressing. Aging 12 months in concrete tanks, 18 months in 45 hL barrels (medium toasted French oak) and at least 3 months in bottle before sale Appearance: ruby red with vivid purple reflections Nose: Intense notes of small red berries and musk, with an elegant finish that recalls vanilla and pepper Taste: robust, broad and persistent; the savoury note stands out and a there is a pleasant silky finish thanks to round, ripe tannins, with a spicy aftertaste and hints of red berries

100% Refosco Dal Peduncolo Rosso VINEYARD FEATURES: 1,93 hectares planted in 1992, trained into Sylvoz system, with a planting density of 3500 vines/ha; manual harvest and yield of 65 q/ha VINTAGE 2018 VINIFICATION AND AGEING Crushing and maceration for 10 days at a controlled temperature of 26-28°C in stainless steel tanks, daily pumping-over and soft pressing to extract only the noblest components from the skins; 8 months of ageing on fine lees in vitrified concrete tanks, with regular bâtonnage every 10 days; at least 3 months in bottle before sale BOTTLES PRODUCED 6264 bottles, in 75 cl size WINE ANALYSIS Alc/vol: 13%; acidity 5 g/L; pH 3,6; residual sugar 0,5 g/L; dry extract 30 g/L SENSORY ANALYSIS Lively and deep ruby. On the nose intense floral aromas that recall violet, fruity notes of ripe yet crisp red cherry and plum, hints of tobacco leaves and spices like juniper and black pepper, together with balsamic and earthy notes. On the nose floral aromas of wild herbs and chamomile are accompanied by fruity notes of fresh pear and golden plum.
